Services for foreign enterprises
| The CIC is the first institution to contact, if someone is interested in information about or in consultation on export and import trade. In detail, the CIC offers the following range of services: |
| Consultation/Information: Information on the German law of foreign trade, on foreign economic law and on German and foreign rules of customs (duty), import and export regulations; information on national and international foreign-exchange control legislation, consultation on direct investments in Germany and abroad. The CIC informs on requirements for the foundation of an enterprise in Germany by non-residents. |
| Procurement of companies' addresses and introduction of business at home and abroad |
| Realization of events as e. g. the organization of meetings between German enterprises and foreign economic delegations in order to exchange information and to initiate business relations, organization of company delegation trips and conventions on countries. |
| Corporate repository: Maintenance of regional foreign trade data; procurement of companies' addresses; assistance with the initiation of business relations, especially by using global sources of information; passing-on of merchandise offers and inquiries. |
| International fairs: Information about and consultation on national and international fairs, consultation and cooperation with the public promotion programme for international fairs, assistance with the application for this promotion programme; organization of assistance for those companies sharing a booth. |
| Information and public relation work: Monthly published news-letters by the Division "International", publication of short articles on a so-called "service page" as well as more comprehensive articles in the CIC magazine "Wirtschaft Nordhessen" (Economy North Hesse), contributions to the newsletter and news service on the CIC website |
| E-business: The CIC holds ready a vast range of information on its website www.ihk-kassel.de with several links and co-operates with the branches overlapping internet exchange www.e-trade.com |
| Certifications: Issue of certificates of origin, certification of commercial invoices and other documents accompanying consignments of goods; issue of carnets A.T.A. (customs documents for the temporary export of goods, only for particular purposes) |
| Courses and seminars: The CIC offers a vast range of further education as to foreign trade, starting with courses on completing customs documents via courses on customs clearance till intercultural trainings. |
| Consultation programme on export: The CIC informs about promotion programmes of the Federal State of Hesse, the Federal Republic of Germany and the European Community. For more than ten years has existed the partnership between the Kassel-Marburg CIC and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jaroslawl/Russia (www.yartpp.ru); even longer has lasted the one to the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Obihiro/Japan. |
